Do You Put Leave In Conditioner on Wet or Dry Hair?

There are times when you might use leave-in conditioner on either wet or dry hair.

Using Leave-in Conditioner on Wet Hair

General leave-in conditioners are usually intended to be used on damp hair. Usually these conditioners are to be used for moisturizing and nourishing your hair in between shampoos.

Using Leave-in Conditioner on Dry Hair

Leave-in conditioners that are to be used as hair refreshers are usually fine to use on dry hair. This is so that you can bring your current hairstyle back to life without starting all over from scratch.

These are general recommendations. The instructions on the packaging of your leave-in conditioner will be the best place to start when determining how to apply the leave-in.
