How Can I Make My Hair Grow?

Does long hair seem like an impossible goal? It isn’t - reaching your hair growth goals is possible when you use the proper scalp stimulation and length retention techniques. In this article, we’ll fill you in on several ways to make your hair grow.

Try Hair Growth Oil

Hair growth oil is one of the most common ways to grow hair. These oils nourish the hair, stimulate the scalp, and promote hair thickness. It’s important to know that not all hair growth oils are as spectacular as their manufacturers claim. Here are a few things you should look for in a quality hair growth oil:

  • Natural ingredients, instead of synthetic additives.

  • GMP-certification

  • Oil blends containing castor oil, peppermint oil, tea tree oil, and jojoba oil.

Oils don’t make your hair grow faster, but they promote healthier hair that won’t easily break off or fall out.

Do a Rice Water Treatment

Rice water treatments originally began in ancient China but are still used today for the hair-loving vitamins and minerals they contain. Though rice water doesn’t technically increase the speed that your hair grows, it does help strengthen your hair and repair damage. This means that the treatment can help you retain hair length.

Just add water to clean white or brown rice and leave it to ferment for 1 to 24 hours. Drain the rice and save the water. Massage the rice water into your hair after shampooing and leave it in for about half an hour before rinsing. Doing this will help to maximize nutrient absorption.

Deep Condition More Often

Hair that is dry or damaged may break faster than it’s growing. So, if you want to retain length, give your hair some TLC. This is where deep conditioning treatments come in. Deep conditioning treatments usually come in a thick, nutrient-rich formula designed to restore your hair by penetrating deep into the strands to repair them.

Apply a deep conditioner to your hair once a week or a few times a month, depending on how damaged your hair is.

Add Scalp Massages to Your Routine

Scalp massages aren’t just for relaxation. They can promote hair growth by stimulating the scalp to produce healthier, stronger hair. A 2016 study showed that daily 4-minute hair massages increased the thickness of the hair of all the participants. Experts conclude that the massage diluted the scalp’s blood vessels, leading to thicker hair that is stronger and less prone to breakage.

To perform a scalp massage, gently rub your scalp using circular motions for about 5 minutes two times a day. You can even do this when shampooing to save a bit of time. There are also massage brushes and massagers you can use to make the massaging process easy.

Speeding up hair growth isn’t possible with any method. So, we encourage you to strengthen and protect your hair – this will reduce shedding and breakage, enabling your hair to grow longer and longer. We hope that this article is helpful to you in your hair growth journey!
