Type 3 hair is notoriously difficult to style, since it has twists and turns that often result in knots and tangles. Yet, there are tons of styles that you can try on your type 3 curls - all you need is a little hairstyle inspo and styling guidance. What is Type 3 Hair? 

Type 3 hair is curly, frizzy, and full of personality. There are three subtypes of type 3 hair that you need to know about, and they include: 

• 3A - Large, loose curls the size of sidewalk chalk. 
• 3B - Voluminous, springy curls the size of a Sharpie marker. 
• 3C - Tight, straw-sized curls that may resemble corkscrews.
